To install the runtime module, just execute the hehv122dist.exe file and follow the instructions given by the program. If you are using Windows 10.1, 10, 8.1, Windows 8, Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, 2008 or similar, make sure you are logged in as a user with administrative privileges.

Note: recent Setup programs are Windows Installer (MSI) databases: such files are natively recognized by Windows. For further information about Windows Installer, click here.

The following changes are made to your system:

• Files copied in "[Common Files]\HTML Executable Viewer\{EB2AB0F8-06BB-418C-A8DC-E1559FFEE828}" folder where [Common Files] is generally C:\Program Files\Common Files\ (or similar).
  • hehvrun.dll: the runtime module DLL file.
  • readme.htm: these instructions in an HTML file.
• Registry entries created in the following key:
  HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\HEViewer\{EB2AB0F8-06BB-418C-A8DC-E1559FFEE828}

To uninstall the runtime module, follow these steps:

1. If you are using Windows 10, 8.1, 8, Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2003, 2008 or similar, make sure you are logged in as a user with administrative privileges.
2. Go to the Windows control panel, select Add/Remove Programs, highlight " HTML Executable HTML Viewer Runtime" and press Remove.

All changes (listed above) will be completely removed from your computer. It is recommended that you restart your computer after having uninstalled a runtime module.

What are runtime modules?

HTML Executable is an HTML compiler that can turn websites into compact self-running .exe files, featuring a stand-alone HTML Viewer or based on the Internet Explorer browser. For further information about HTML Executable, please go to www.htmlexe.com.

To create a smaller ebook, an author may have decided not to merge the associated runtime module. Consequently you need to download and install this runtime module on your system in order to view the ebook. Each runtime module is actually a stand-alone library (one single .DLL) that contains the code necessary to execute and display the ebook. Nothing else is required; you just need to download and install the runtime module once. You can of course remove it using the shipped uninstall program.

Runtime modules are available in Setup packages. They also come with an uninstaller so you can remove them from your computer at any time using the Add/Remove Programs applet of the control panel.
